Mengyuan Li

Mengyuan Li is pursuing a Doctor of Music degree at the University of Miami’s Frost School of Music, with an expected graduation in May 2027, while serving as a Teaching Assistant at the Frost School and as a faculty member in the Prep Program. She completed a Master of Music at the New England Conservatory of Music in May 2024 and a Bachelor of Music at the same institution in May 2022. She has studied with renowned instructors such as Prof. Kevin Kenner, Prof. Haesun Paik and Prof. Pavel Nersessian, and Dr. Bo Tong and Yameng Huang. Her remarkable achievements include winning the Mozart Concerto Competition, where she performed with the Frost Symphony Orchestra in February 2025. In 2024, she earned the Platinum Prize and the Emotional Artistry Special Prize at the Berlioz International Music Competition. Other honors include an Honorable Mention at the Shenzhen Futian National Piano Competition in 2015, First Prize at the TURECK Bach International Piano Competition (Group 3) and a performance at Lincoln Art Center in 2013, and Third Prize at the IMOLA International Competition, Beijing Region, in 2012. She also received the Academic Excellence Award from the Central Conservatory of Music Middle School in 2011-2012.
